BIOGRAPHY

I am currently working at the Cardiac Surgery Department, at the University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center, Cleveland, Ohio, USA. I have completed multiple diverse advanced cardiac surgery fellowships at Queen’s University (Canada), Oxford University (UK), Royal Brompton and Harefield NHS Trust (UK), Coventry University Hospital (UK), and the Brigham and Women’s Hospital (US).

Due to my diverse fellowship experiences, I am experienced with mitral surgery, aortic surgery, and multi-arterial off-pump coronary artery bypass surgery. I also operate independently in all aspects of non-transplant adult cardiac surgery including on-pump/off-pump total arterial CABG, valvular surgery, atrial fibrillation surgery, aortic surgery, and TAVR.

I am humbled to have been inducted as a Fellow of the prestigious Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and a Fellow of the European Board of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery, two societies which have recognized the diverse skillset I have gained and my clinical accomplishments.

While at Queen’s, I have established my own Cardiac Surgical Research Lab as principal investigator and I have established a multi-institutional research network. Leading a group of over than 30 members, we are working on dozens of research papers. I’m currently transitioning from Clinical Research to Basic Science Research.
